A custom skylight system should be flexible enough to conform to your
design and installation requirements
7 features that set System 2000 apart:
Flexibility: Ball
and Socket Hinge
Our proprietary ball and socket hinge allows maximum flexibility
to adapt to any slope — from 15-45 degrees. Our
system also reduces shop fabrication and field installation.
Aesthetics: Concealed Fasteners Our rafter and purlin connections are made by
threading purlin screws through an interior pocket in the
rafter, and into a screw boss at the purlin's interior. The
result is a clean, uncluttered look, with no visible fasteners
when viewed from below.
Simplicity: Snap-in Sill Apron
Flashing ArchSky's snap-in flashing greatly simplifies installation,
and makes replacement possible, if necessary. Snap-in flashing
also eliminates exposed fasteners, contributing to the clean overall
appearance of the system.
Strength: All Bolt Design ArchSky's all-bolt design avoids the weakening of
aluminum caused by welding. Our approach ensures structural
integrity while making fabrication and erection faster.
Performance: Integral Cross-Draining
Condensation Control System Condensation Happens. ArchSky controls it by incorporating
a condensation control system leading to baffled weeps into the design
of our rafter and purlin extrusions.
Reduced Maintenance: Flush Glazed
Construction ArchSky's system uses flush glazing for a cleaner
aesthetic, cleaner glass, and better performance. By replacing
horizontal purlins with structural silicone joints, we eliminate
the tendency for water to build up on the upper side of the cap. This
prevents the potential for leaks, and the build up of dirt and debris.
Our two-sided flush glazed system incorporates vertical purlins to
hold glass in place by means of a pressure cap and fasteners that
extend into the rafter. Our four-sized flush glazed system presents the
cleanest exterior site-line, with no exterior caps. We adhere
aluminum channels to the underside of the glass, and incorporate
a silicone weather seal between the glass panes.
Choice: A Range of Rafter Sizes
and Shapes ArchSky's standard rafter and purlin sizes range from
3" to 12", to accommodate nearly any configuration. Our
tubular rafter system can also be reinforced with steel for large
spans.
Our I-Beam profile system provides the classical appearance of a
traditional I-Beam skylight. The I-Beam system uses a
series of clips and exposed fasteners to make its framing connections.
And if that's not enough, we regularly create custom extrusions
to meet specific design requirements.
